SilentXpress™ is a field-assembled, narrow double-stud wall system engineered to achieve high acoustic performance while minimizing wall depth. Utilizing proprietary Type CWSC connectors with ProSTUD® framing, the system connects adjacent studs beneath a single track to reduce sound transmission and create a space-efficient alternative to traditional chase wall assemblies.
Designed as a space-saving alternative to conventional double-stud or chase walls, SilentXpress provides comparable or improved STC performance in a slimmer profile—making it ideal for multifamily, hospitality, healthcare, and commercial applications where both acoustics and floor space are critical.

Installation
- Orient adjacent ProSTUD® framing members with stud webs facing in the same direction.
- Install three (3) Type CWSC connectors per stud pair.
- Place one clip 7" from each end of the stud framing member, with the third clip installed at the mid-height of the wall.
- Attach clips to the stud webs using #8 x 1-5/8" screws through the center hole of the rubber grommets.
- Install clips flush with the ends of the studs to maintain uniform gypsum board contact with the clip and stud flanges.
- Install gypsum board in accordance with the applicable UL assembly, acoustic test reports and project requirements.
